Playfair Cricket Annual 2019 Kindle µ Playfair

Playfair Cricket Annual 2019 Book arrived undamaged Excellent companion for cricket enthusiasts This was the first time I bought the kindle version and it took a little while to get used to perusing it However, the search facility makes it a very useful format and I can keep this and future editions without taking up any shelf space. The best cricket annual by far Wisden is too long winded This is just perfect for me Informative Consise I have around thirty years of these now Wouldnt be without it Just bought my first edition from and was astonished by the extent of the information available and the logical presentation I was most impressed by the foreword , it gives such a precise and grounded summary of the state of the game today which seems to be getting and confused With the authors concern and knowledge of the game I m surprised he s not been snapped up by the media I ll be buying again next year. No cricket fan should be without this annual essential All the details and analysis that you could wish for in a very handy size and always at a terrific price given the work involved A must have even if you only have a passing interest in the game. Packed though it is with facts and information, the print is microscopic, and even though I don t need reading glasses, I do need a magnifying glass to read this volume.I know its supposed to be a pocket book, but even my pockets would have allowed for something a tad larger. Preface should be dated 2019, not 2018 Somerset s second place in 2018 not included in county s best positions Would have preferred some details of 2nd XI and Minor Counties competition results, and much, much less on ODIs T20s IPL should be omitted altogether so too the Big Bash if it s in there forgot to look But I d never go without my annual PCA. Maintains the tradition of the best compact reference book which will be useful to most cricket enthusiasts. There are 3 books that most self respecting cricket nerds read each year Wisden is one of those books This is one of the other two I gives a potted history of the English season very potted at 359 odd pages , the players who will play this season, and English Counties who play first class cricket. It s genuinely a reliable read If you want to have a book that you can put in your pocket and refer to when you see a new player come on the field, this book is for you.
